Why Should Elevators Be Replaced?

-After 15 years of use, elevators are past usable age. Voltage equipment becomes inferior, and safety concerns arise. (According to the government’s December 1997 industry report on long term product usage, elevator usage life should be limited to 15 years.)

When is Replacement Most Proper?

Regular maintenance has its purpose in extending operations and reducing problems, as well as ensuring proper examination, adjustment, diagnosis, replacement of parts, and repair. But after the elevator has entered the grinding and glitch phase the entire system’s abilities are reduced. As modern technology advances and societal expectations for technology increase, an outdated elevator quickly falls behind, inciting customer quality of life issues, as well as increasingly large repair bills.

An elevator entering the grinding and glitch phase is at the most appropriate time to begin replacement. Most often, voltage and mechanical problem situations begin at an initial stage and progress to the occasional glitch phase, during which small problems may occur.
